Commissions

Commission a Painting

A commission is an invitation to create something deeply personal.

I work in oil and mixed media, layering gestural marks with geometric and organic forms to capture the feeling you want the piece to hold. Depending on your vision, I can introduce a subject, like a bird, botanical, or another meaningful symbol, or keep the work purely abstract. Each painting is finished in oil to build depth and bring the focal moments forward.

I accept a limited number of commissions each year so every piece receives the time and attention it deserves.

Commission Process and Pricing

Commission Process

  • Scenic view of a turquoise lake surrounded by rolling green hills and towering rugged mountains with a cloudy sky overhead.

    Step 1 - Discovery + Direction

We start with a short discovery call to talk through your ideas, the space where the painting will live, and the feeling you want it to hold. Before the call, you will fill out the commission request form on this page so I can review your notes and references in advance. After our conversation, I will confirm the scope, timeline, and next steps.

  • Modern house on a green hillside with mountains in the background, snow-capped peaks under a cloudy sky.

    Step 2 - Concept + Creation

Once the details are defined, I develop a reference image for the piece. If your commission includes a subject, this may include composition and color planning before I begin painting. Then I move into the painting stage. Throughout, you can choose the level of updates you prefer, from occasional milestone check-ins to more frequent progress shares.

  • Modern building with wood and metal exterior surrounded by yellow flowers, set against a mountainous landscape with steep, rocky peaks in the background.

    Step 3 - Final Reveal + Delivery

When the painting is complete, I will share final images for approval. If you would like framing support, we can discuss framing options and logistics. Framing, shipping, and any special installation needs are quoted separately. The remaining 50% balance is due before shipping or delivery.
